Finding the watch that is not listed

Some watches are hard to find, not because of their price but because their owners are not selling, at least not publicly. The most desirable references often change hands within a small circle, before they ever reach a listing. If you have spent time searching and come up short, the issue is usually access rather than budget.

A private search begins with the reference, configuration and materials you prefer, your position on box and papers, and any constraints on condition or timing. The more exact the brief, the better. "A Nautilus" is a starting point; "a 5711/1A in blue, full set, unpolished" is a search we can actually run.

From there we approach our network privately (established collectors, trusted dealers and long-standing contacts) and present only examples that genuinely fit, with condition and provenance set out honestly. Commercial terms and collector identities are handled privately, and there is no obligation to proceed.
